The UC San Diego Libraries are committed to building robust research collections to meet the wide-ranging and increasingly interdisciplinary research and instruction requirements of our users. Given the rapid rise of the output of available resources, combined with rising costs of and the decreasing value of the dollar on the world markets, the Libraries use a variety of strategies and funding sources to support our collections acquisition program. In addition to UC funding from the State of California, we rely on Friends of the Libraries funding, as well as specially-established endowment funds to acquire resources in specific areas. Detailed information on how you can help support and enhance the UC San Diego Libraries collections is contained in the links below. Together, we can contribute to the success of the UCSD Libraries.
