The collections support the teaching and research interests of the UCSD community in Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American literatures. The SSH Library has collections for Spain, Portugal, Brazil, and the Spanish-speaking countries of the Caribbean and the Americas, including the original texts and translations as available and literary criticism in a variety of languages. The literatures of Chile, Cuba, Mexico, and the Andean and Central American regions are of particular emphasis.
