The following is an alphabetical listing of various digital collections created and maintained by the University of California, San Diego Libraries.

This collection, housed at the Mandeville Special Collections Library at the University of California, San Diego, contains many examples of Dr. Seuss's advertising artwork. The library has scanned a selection of these advertisements for greater access. Besides promoting the Standard Oil companies Flit and Esso, Dr. Seuss's creations have hawked such diverse goods as ball bearings, radio promotional spots, beer, and sugar.

Mandeville Special Collections houses over 150 original photographs by McDonald which document the peninsula's missions, ruins, and scenery of Baja California.

Gulick made hundreds of photographs of Baja California's landscapes, coastlines, cities and built environment. The Mandeville Special Collections Library houses Gulick's Baja California-related papers, including his original travel journals, correspondence, map materials and, notably, his photographic slides. A selection of Gulick's Baja California images dating from the 1950s and 1960s can be found here.

Mandeville Special Collections Library displays a wonderful sampling of Crosby's photographs of Baja California, which includes images of peninsular mission architecture, historic places, everyday life on remote ranches, and landmarks along the unpaved transpeninsular highway.

This collection provides access for the citizens of California to a diverse array of resources about the ocean and ocean exploration from the unique collections of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Archives and Library and to a selection of ocean related photographs and oral histories from the collections of the San Diego Historical Society.

This Dr. Seuss Collection in the Mandeville Special Collections Library at the University of California, San Diego, contains the original drawings and/or newspaper clippings of Dr. Seuss' editorial cartoons drawn while he was the chief editorial cartoonist for the New York newspaper PM (1941-1943). This website makes these cartoons available to all internet users. The cartoons have been scanned from the original newspaper clippings in the UCSD collection.

Finding Aids are information resources that facilitate and provide access to the UCSD Libraries manuscript and archival collections in Mandeville Special Collections and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Archives.

A collection of photographs and etchings of the missions of Alta California. During the late nineteenth-century, two important records of the missions were created--Henry Chapman Ford's etchings (1883) and William Henry Jackson's series of albumen photographs (1885-1890). Sets of the original etchings and photographs are extremely rare. UCSD is fortunate to be able to display a selection of Jackson's original photographs, originally in the collection of Kenneth E. and Dorothy V. Hill, who generously loaned these items to UCSD for permanent exhibition on the web.

This online exhibit contains the ninety-nine photographs that comprise a unit of the Spanish Civil War Collection held at Mandeville Special Collections Library. Acquired in 2002, the images are of the people and events of the war from 1936 to 1940. It is one of the most extensive on-line exhibits of Spanish Civil War photographs to date.

A variety of texts on oceanography. Includes legacy monographs and reports by Scripps authors converted to digital format by Scripps Library; contemporary texts written by Scripps authors and posted to the Scripps Repository by the Scripps Library; the Fish Bulletin monographic series published by Californa Dept of Fish & Game; scientific reports from the Challenger Expedition.

Includes a digital reproduction of the book with the same title, together with images of all of the children's drawings held in the Southworth Spanish Civil War Collection, Mandeville Special Collections Library.

Mandeville Special Collections Library's online collection of eighty-four graphic propaganda posters published during the Spanish Civil War.

This collection, in the Mandeville Special Collections Library, is a selection of early and important works on meteorology from the collection of Kenneth E. Hill (1915-2001).
