Miramar

When it first began development, the community of Miramar was often referred to as a desert area.  Today, Miramar has become one of the centers of San Diego County.  It is most known as a home to the U.S. Marine Corps Air Station, the setting of the 1986 movie Top Gun.  Annually, the base stages its popular air shows, which attract residents from around the state.  The community of Miramar also houses the largest collection of furniture outlet stores and home accessories in all of San Diego County.
