What Staff are Saying:
- Staff reported they like the ease and convenience of living in Clairemont Mesa. It’s close to shopping areas, grocery stores and pharmacies. Its central location makes it easy to get to the UCSD campus as well as other parts of the city. It’s a very family oriented community with affordable housing and quiet neighborhoods.
- Staff have mixed reviews of the schools in this area and feel the neighborhood is lacking in nightlife, entertainment, and culture. They would also like to see more local restaurants.
-
“convenient location - close to UCSD, to the airport, to Balboa Park, and Pacific Beach.” “Affordable housing”
- “The Clairemont area is large; I live by Balboa and Genesse. (I don't think all areas are the same in this part of the city). Our neighbors are great. I feel safe. It is a very easy commute to work via public transportation and even on the free line (route 41). We have easy access to the freeways 5, 805, and 163. I can walk to grocery stores and shops.”
