Melvyl Catalog Unavailable Sat 6pm-Sun 9 am

All OCLC services will be unavailable from 6:00 pm Saturday, 4 June 2016 until 9:00 am Sunday, 5 June 2016, Pacific, while OCLC conducts data storage migrations.

Resources affected include the UC Melvyl catalog (WorldCat Local), FirstSearch, and WorldCat.org.
Databases on FirstSearch include:

ArticleFirst
GPO Monthly Catalog
OAIster
PapersFirst
ProceedingsFirst
SCIPIO – art and rare books sales/auction catalogs.

In addition to these databases and catalogs, requesting Interlibrary loans via UC-eLinks or Citation Linker will not be available during the outage.  Either wait until later on Sunday when service is restored, or fill out the blank ILL request form.

Alternatives to OCLC: San Diego Circuit http://circuit.sdsu.edu and the UCSD catalog http://roger.ucsd.edu will be available as will the majority of the library-licensed Databases.  You may browse individual UC campus library catalogs via  http://libraries.universityofcalifornia.edu/.

Natural Standard Database Access Restored

Access to the Natural Standard database on integrative medicine was not available for UCSD users in April and much of May due to licensing and renewal problems. CDL/UCSF licensing efforts have concluded and we now have access again. Thank you for your patience. The new site is https://naturalmedicines.therapeuticresearch.com/

Access Medicine working again March 5th

Online access for UCSD has been restored by McGraw Hill to the licensed e-books and e-journals in Access Medicine. Full-text access had been blocked since Monday March 3rd. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience while this was unavailable.
