24 Hour Study Space at Geisel

Did you enjoy pulling all-nighters at CLICS?  Don’t despair!  Geisel Library will keep the 1st and 2nd floors of the “West Wing” open 24 hours for study from Wednesday November 30 through Friday December 9th.  This is the area to your left as you enter the building, including the main (2nd) floor and the lower (1st) level. Lots of computers, lots of tables.

During the “overnight” hours (from normal closing time through opening the next day) the following will apply:

  • The space will be available for study use.  No library services will be available, including print reserves.  If you need reserve items, please arrange to get them before the desk closes.
  • The tunnel computer lab, tower, and Science & Engineering Library spaces will not be accessible.
  • Only UCSD users may be in the library during these hours. Valid UCSD ID is required.

The 24 hour period will end on Friday December 9th; the library will close at 7pm that night.

All the UCSD Libraries Hours are available online.

Printing Downtime 9/16

Printing will be down in the Libraries on the morning of Friday, September 16 while Imprints installs a major software update. Geisel will be brought back up first, then Biomed. We will post status updates here and on signs in the libraries.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We believe this is the update that will finally let us enable wireless printing.

UPDATE: the process took a bit longer than planned but printing was restored Friday afternoon throughout the libraries.  Thanks everyone for your patience.
