The UC campuses have recently obtained perpetual access to nearly every Springer ebook published in English and German from 2005 to 2009, including Landolt-Bornstein, the largest compilation of data in physics and chemistry. The collection includes nearly 20,000 books from every scientific discipline and many social sciences. The books will be linked from campus catalogs, as well as from Melvyl, UC-eLinks, and Google Scholar. They may also be browsed or searched direct from the Springer platform at http://springerlink.com.
Textbooks may be incorporated into course reading lists and classroom instruction. Springer has identified over 1100 titles specifically as textbooks [Excel format], and the full list of titles, including others that may be desirable for classroom use, is available from the Springer platform.
It is also possible for users to order a soft cover print copy of more than 11,000 available books for $24.95 from Springer’s Print on Demand Service (MyCopy).
