Exhibition: "San Diego Book Arts Fifth National Juried Show"

San Diego Book Arts Fifth National Juried Exhibition

Artists’ books are a distinct art form that moves the book beyond the traditional codex form. The San Diego Book Arts Fifth National Juried Exhibition, a collaboration between the San Diego Book Arts group and the UC San Diego Library’s Special Collections & Archives, demonstrates that artists will ensure that there are more and more different kinds of books than ever.  The selections for this exhibition include fine press books, sculptural bookworks, and books that unfold in unconventional ways. From more than 200 entries from all parts of the U.S., these 61 books will entertain, amaze, edify, and stretch the definition of “a book.”
