Collection Statement

Music collections in the Arts Library are developed to meet ongoing research and instructional needs, primarily in the Department of Music. The most relevant published music, recordings, books and serials are collected. For the UCSD community at large, the collections also represent most types of music past and present.

Please contact the Music Librarian (see below) to discuss your research needs or to request that certain titles be acquired for the collections. Lists of newly acquired music books, recordings, and scores are updated monthly.

Hours of access: music books, print periodicals, and scores may be accessed during Social Sciences & Humanities open hours; CDs and DVDs are available for listening/viewing during Arts Library Desk open hours.
