UCSD students are invited to use the UCSD Libraries Visual Resources collections and services in support of their studies and research.
Digital images for research and classroom presentations are available through the UCSD Libraries licensed image databases.
In addition there is an extensive group of fair use and open access websites that provide digital images for educational use.
Students may download ARTstor's Offline Image Viewer to use for class presentations or download images from ARTstor to use in other image presentation tools.
Faculty can place images on reserve through ARTstor. To access these images see Student Guide to Accessing Image Reserves in ARTstor
If images are needed for a classroom presentation and are not available in ARTstor students may request digital images. Complete a production request form for each source (books, etc.) and provide the AAL staff with the publication containing the image(s) to be made into a digital image. Students may request 50 images per quarter. There is a two week turn-around time for digital production.
