Digital images are created by the visual resource staff to support UCSD classroom instruction and presentations. If a patron searches the visual resources collection in ARTstor but does not find the image(s) needed, they may submit a production request form for an image to be made. Requesters complete a production request form for each source (books, etc.) and provide the Arts Library staff with the publication containing the image(s) to be made into a digital image. There is a two week turn-around time for digital production.
The Arts Library reserves the right to deny a production request if the item(s) will not enhance the visual resources collection based upon the mission of the Arts Library. This includes the following:
*No more than 25% of the images in a single source may be requested.
Digital images are deposited into ARTstor become the permanent property of the visual resources collection and cannot be duplicated into any format.
If a request for production is denied, users will be given information on alternative methods for obtaining images.
