About the Libraries - BML and MCL
| Biomedical Library (BML) University of California, San Diego 9500 Gilman Drive La Jolla, CA 92093-0699 The Biomedical Library is located on the UCSD main campus and supports the research, teaching and patient care programs of the UCSD School of Medicine, the Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, the UCSD Medical Center La Jolla, and the Division of Biological Sciences. Its collection of approximately 200,000 bound volumes and approximately 2,550 current journal subscriptions* covers the fields of medicine and biology. During 2005 and 2006, the Biomedical Library underwent an extensive renovation & addition project.  |

Medical Center Library (MCL) Medical Center 8828 University of California, San Diego 200 West Arbor Drive San Diego, CA 92103-8828 The Medical Center Library, a branch of the Biomedical Library, is located at the UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest. Its clinically oriented book and journal collections support the activities of health care providers located at the Medical Center and include approximately 27,000 bound volumes and 690 current journal subscriptions*. |
* In recent years, we have been transitioning from a largely print-based to a more online journal collection. Both libraries share access to a journal collection of over 5000 current and retrospective titles in biological and medical sciences as well as the wider collections of the university covering all disciplines.
