East Asia Collection - China Collection
The Chinese component of the Collections is developed primarily to meet the instructional and research need of the faculty and students of Chinese Studies Program and to a lesser degree to answer the general demand for information on China and Taiwan. Subjects covered include art, anthropology, archaeology, history, history of science and medicine, journalism, linquistics, literature, musicology, political science, and sociology, with special interest in modern and contemporary periods.
Largely in response to increased research needs in recent years, the collection development has targeted the following three special areas for intensive collecting often in collaboration with East Asia area studies libraries of other UC campuses:

International Relations and Pacific Studies Library - China Collection
The IR/PS China collection has been developed to support the instructional and research needs of the faculty and students in the China program. It features special interests in contemporary China with concentration on such areas as business, economics, foreign relations, politics, and public policies. Special attention has been given to collecting of statistical data, business references, and government documents. See IR/PS Library for more information.
