The Chinese studies collection at the IR/PS Library lends strong support to the graduate School of IR/PS as well as programs in departments including economics, political science, and sociology. It provides teaching, learning, and research resources related to China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. In addition, special attention has been given to collecting statistical data, business references, and government documents.
The Chinese language collection was established as part of the East Asia Collection occupying the entire fourth floor of the Social Sciences and Humanities Library (SSHL). It focuses on collecting modern and contemporary Chinese language materials in the humanities and social sciences, including the arts, economics, geography, history, literature, music, political science, and sociology pertaining to China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Additional Chinese and English language materials on or about Chinese economies, politics, business, markets, and international relations are located at the IR/PS Library.
