About the S&E Library

Mission

The S&E Library shares the mission of the UC San Diego Libraries which is "to be leaders in providing and promoting information resources and services to the UCSD community when, where, and how users want them." The S&E Library offers friendly, dependable, innovative staff, technologically advanced services, and a diversified, distinctive space.

• Instruction/Outreach: course integrated instruction, workshops (Patents, Jump Start Your Engineering Research), S&E tours, departmental orientations for grad students, Welcome Week orientation sessions
• S&E Library Advisory Committee (since 1984): faculty representatives from each department served, plus one graduate student and one undergraduate student, discuss S&E library services, collections, and broader trends in technology and scholarly publishing
