The purpose of the Mathematics and Statistics collection is to support the research interests and instructional activities of faculty and students in the Department of Mathematics at UCSD and secondarily, to supplement the mathematical and statistical analysis needs of all UCSD students & researchers. The mathematics collection encompasses the full span of mathematics and related areas, including mathematical physics, engineering mathematics, and biomathematics. In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on collecting materials to support research and instruction in Mathematics & Science Education.
