Six group study rooms are available on the 2nd (Main) floor equipped with whiteboards - 3 near the S&E Circulation Desk, 2 rooms by the ACS Computer Lab and 1 near the microfiche collection. The two rooms by the ACS Computer Lab can be reserved for 2 hours at a time. If there are no reservations, the rooms may be occupied on a first come first served basis. There are numerous study tables (each seating 4 people) on both floors, as well as many individual study desks on both floors. There are comfortable chairs with end tables throughout S&E.
One of the group study rooms by the ACS Computer Lab is a presentation room, equipped with a wall-mounted projector and a hook-up for your laptop. Groups of 4 or more, may now reserves the presentation room. If there are no reservations, the room may be occupied on a first come first served basis.
Science & Engineering librarians give frequent workshops for students on conducting library research. Our instruction room, located on the main floor of the S&E Library in the far southeast corner, is equipped with 12 student PCs and additional space for students who bring their own laptops. This multi-purpose room is located on the lower level of the S&E Library, and is suitable for staff meetings, lectures, instruction, film viewing, and special events. It is intended for library-organized events only, and can be reserved by library staff through Microsoft Outlook.
