Law and Society

Collection Statement

The law collection supports the Law & Society undergraduate program and several other academic programs at UCSD. The Law & Society program "emphasizes the interrelationship and complexity of legal, social, and ethical issues in their historical context." Areas of concentration include constitutional law, environmental law, comparative studies, law and language, and the sociology of law. Because UCSD does not have a law school, the Social Sciences & Humanities Library does not have a complete law collection. The San Diego County Public Law Library is open to the public for more in-depth legal research.
