Music

Collection Statement

Music collections in the Arts Library are developed to meet ongoing research and instructional needs, primarily in support of the Department of Music. The most relevant scores, recordings, electronic resources, books and serials are collected.  Post-1950 contemporary art music is an area of strength and ongoing collection emphasis. The collections also represent most types of music past and present, as in our suite of audio online collections.  The Mandeville Special Collections Library holds music archival materials such as original score manuscripts and correspondence.

Key Resources for Music

See also this Music Guide for how to find UCSD resources in Roger, or you may search Melvyl for UC-wide holdings.  Lists of newly acquired music books, recordings, and scores are updated monthly. Please contact the Music Librarian (see below) if you would like to recommend an acquisition.
