Collection Statement

The purpose of the religion collection is to support research and instruction at UCSD, particularly to meet the needs of the faculty and students of the Program for the Study of Religion. Collection emphasis is on works to support the interdisciplinary and comparative study of religious phenomena, including consideration of literature, history, and society in relation to religion. The scope of the collection includes religious systems from earliest times through the present, and from all parts of the world. Another library collection of special relevance is Judaic Studies.
