Collection Statement
The U.S. Government Information collection is an interdisciplinary social science collection that includes documents from all areas of the federal government with a specialization in U.S. demographics, public policy and legislation. All the government documents in the collection can be found in the Libraries' Roger Catalog, and most of them can be checked out. Government agencies are now producing a majority of their information in an online-only format. Many of these documents can also be accessed through the Roger Catalog, or a variety of other library databases.
UCSD is a Congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government Publications. Public access to documents received through the Federal Depository Library Program is guaranteed by U.S. law. See the libraries policies covering Visitor Services and User Conduct for general information or conduct Rebecca Hyde, U.S. Government Information Librarian, for specific questions regarding the federal documents collection.
