In response to strong demand for around the clock study space, the UC San Diego Library has opened an Overnight Study Commons in the Geisel Library building. The addition of the Study Commons hours expands study hours in Geisel Library by about 40%. Overnight Study Commons hours are in place during the fall, winter, and spring academic quarters.
The Overnight Study Commons, which is located on the main floor of Geisel Library’s East Wing (the second floor of the Science & Engineering Library), is open to current UC students, faculty, and staff only. Valid UCSD ID cards are required during overnight hours.
