Reference Resources

Not so long very ago ‘Reference Collections’ only existed in the library. Although these print items only could be used on-the-spot, they were great, authoritative sources used for quick look-ups, fact-checking and background on research topics.

Today, the SSHL Reference Resources below provide leads to further information, too, but the majority of these items are now online, making them easily accessible whether you are in or outside of the library building.

Listed first are multi-subject packages that cover the widest range of topics, followed by tools that work for a specific function or category of reference information, like biographies or quotations.
