Latin American Studies

I have pulled together here links to the major electronic resources for research in Latin American studies. El Salvador Scene Some, like the Handbook of Latin American Studies, HAPI: Hispanic American Periodicals Index, and the Latin American Data Base (LADB) focus specifically on Latin America. Many of the others are discipline-oriented and are excellent sources of area studies information. I have included links here also to information on Latin American studies programs at UCSD and to Latin American election materials available in the Social Sciences and Humanities Library (Latin American Election Statistics: A Guide to Sources). I would like to especially highlight here LANIC (the Latin American Information Network), which provides unique access to internet information on Latin America.
