Anacomp

History

Anacomp was founded in 1968 in Indiana by Purdue professors including Ronald D. Palamara to develop microfilm and microfiche products. Corporate headquarters relocated to San Diego in 1987. Today, the company specializes in document management. Anacomp went public in 1970 and sought a path of acquisition-based growth and even before 1975 this included Learning Foundations of Denver, Micrographix Data Services, Inc., Electronic Data Preparation Corp., and Computer Accounting Inc. After Anacomp’s move to San Diego in 2002, they pulled their stock.
