The company was founded as Blue Sky Software in 1990 and changed its name to eHelp Corporation. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California.

Jorgen Sigurd Lien and Trond Bergquist founded eHelp Corporation in 1990. Adobe Macromedia Software LLC acquired the company in 2003. That same year, eHelp Corporation donated Robodemo software worth $75,000 to the University of California, San Diego. eHelp helped to provide the foundation to more than 250 million online Help and user assistance systems currently in use around the world, and has received more than 60 industry awards.
