History

Lytx, formerly DriveCam, Inc., is a global driver risk management company specializing in designing, manufacturing and selling video driver safety programs used by commercial fleets. The company focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of poor driving behavior by combining sight and sound with real-time driver feedback and coaching resulting in reductions in collision-related costs and fuel consumption. Lytx serves primarily waste management and sanitation; concrete and construction; transit, para transit and motor coach; utilities, telecom and services; trucking and distribution; government and municipality vehicles.

Gary Rayner and Tom Lafleur founded Lytx, Inc. (previously DriveCam) in 1998. Lafleur had previously spent 11 years as Vice President of Engineering at QUALCOMM as well as director of engineering of M/A-Com Linkabit. The current CEO Brandon L. Nixon holds a B.S. from the University of California, San Diego and is a veteran of Linkabit spinoffs PSCI and Cirrus Logic.
