Matches any group of characters. For example, searching for comp* finds documents containing any word starting with the letters comp, such as computer, company, or comptroller. Searching for comp*er finds documents containing any word starting with comp and ending in er, such as computer or comptroller, but not company. |
Tip: When searching, don't enter plural forms such as crimes because only documents with crimes (plural) will be found.
If you enter crime* (singular with wildcard), you will retrieve documents with both crime and crimes.
Grouping allows you to form complex queries from the simple operators explained above.
