Step 1: Download Citations from ABC-CLIO databases

1. Perform a search in any ABC-CLIO database.
2. To mark individual citations for downloading, click the box ( ) next to the word Tagged.
3. Click on the Output Options button in the left hand column.
4. Select preferred format (short or full entry) and select ASCII display.
5. To save as a text file, click on Submit.  Your records will appear on the screen in ASCII format.
6. Under File on the browser menu bar, select Save as.
7. Type in a file name in the Save As… box, adding .txt at the end of the file name, and note the save in destination, e.g. Desktop, A:, etc.
8. If you choose to Email the records to yourself, you will then have to copy the records into a text file and download the text file to a machine where you have EndNote installed.
