Step 1: Download Citations from JSTOR
- Perform a search in JSTOR.
- Save citations
as you go and click on View Marked Citations.
- From the pulldown menus, select Export
Citations As a Text File in
Citation-Manager format. Click on Export and save the file.
Step 2: Importing References from a text file into EndNote
- Open an EndNote library or create a new one to store the records.
- From the File menu, select Import… to open the Import window.
- In the Import
Data File: field, select the file you downloaded from
JSTOR by clicking on Choose File.
- In the Import
Option field, select the filter you would like to use
to import your references. Since you downloaded your references from
JSTOR, select Other Filters from the pull down menu, then select JSTOR. Note: if you do not find the filter for JSTOR, click here to locate
and download the JSTOR filter to add to your EndNote program.
- Under Duplicates, please select what you would like EndNote to do
with any duplicate records found then click on Import.
