My Library Account / Renew Items

Access your Library account online by visiting My Library Account / Renew Items. To login into My Library Account / Renew Items, enter the barcode on the back of your UC San Diego ID card or Library Privilege Card and enter your PIN (Password). First-time users of My Library Account / Renew Items will need to create a PIN. Visit getting an error message if you have difficulty creating a PIN. Reset your PIN using My Library Account / Renew Items. Or, if you forget your PIN, contact the Front Desk of the Geisel or Biomedical Library Buildings and Library staff can delete your existing PIN, allowing you to create a new PIN.

Within Login to My Library Account / Renew Items,

  • View your checked-out items and their due dates.
  • Renew, hold, or recall items (if applicable).
  • Request checked-out books in Roger and have them held for you at a Library Front Desk.
  • See if an item you have requested has arrived.
  • Save custom searches and have the results emailed to you.
  • Review your mailing address for accuracy.

You may see the following messages while viewing your Library account:

Too soon to renew Renew item at a later date
Too many renewals Maximum number of renewals reached
On Hold Return item by due date
Recalled Return item by due date
Billed Return item immediately
Claimed returned (CL RETD) Check with the owning Library for an update
Missing Check with the owning Library

All Library users with borrowing privileges are responsible for providing the Library with a current mailing address. UC San Diego faculty and staff can maintain their current mailing address in the campus directory. UC San Diego students can maintain their current mailing address in TritonLink. Non-UC San Diego Library privilege card holders can update their mailing address in person or by phone by contacting the Front Desk of the Geisel or Biomedical Library Buildings.
