Off-Campus Access

Most library e-journals & databases are restricted to use on campus, or use off-campus only by current UCSD faculty, staff, and students. To access these resources from off-campus, use one of these options.

  • Proxy server (most popular option):  For e-journals and web-based databases.
  • Virtual Private Network (VPN):  For e-journals and web-based databases, plus applications like EndNote's Online Search (formerly "Connect") and business systems.
