Chrome: Chrome should automatically work with the UCSD proxy if you’ve already using the proxy in another browser. If you do need to set up the proxy in Chrome, go to Settings, then Advance Settings. Under Network you’ll see Change Proxy Settings. From here, follow the steps like you were setting up proxy access in Internet Explorer 7.
Easy to set up. Only requires changing one setting in your Web browser.
Cons
Users located inside non-UCSD institutions (such as non-UCSD hospitals, Salk, etc.) with high network security may not be able to use the UCSD Proxy server. If you're in such a facility, check with your IT support unit before trying to connect to the UCSD network.
