The Media Desk is equipped to support viewing and listening of film and audio materials from our collections, including materials on reserve. This includes DVD (including BluRay), VHS, and audio CD. Use of Vinyl LPs and audiotapes can be arranged by contacting the Media Desk staff at (858) 534-8074. All of our media stations can be used by individuals or support up to four users. For larger groups we have Group Viewing & Listening Rooms available to book.
During Media Desk hours, UCSD and UC students, faculty and staff may use media stations with no time limit unless other UCSD patrons are waiting. Non-affiliates have access to two designated playback stations for a maximum of 2 hours per day per each non-affiliate. Priority is always given to UCSD patrons, especially when needing to view course reserve materials.
Screening of 16mm film must be arranged in advance by submitting the 16mm viewing request form.
We have two group viewing & listening rooms for groups of 4 - 31 students. We can screen VHS, Blu Ray, DVDs & CDs.
Please contact email@example.com to schedule a group viewing or listening session. For any questions on scheduling a group viewing or listening session, please contact the Media desk at (858)-534-8074.
Room 1 can accommodate 19 students

Larger classes (up to 31 students during the academic year) may occupy both viewing rooms to view or listen to the same content on a simultaneous feed. Spaces for larger classes requiring access to 16mm films, LPs, and cassette tapes will be identified as needed.
