Requesting Books

Annex: Request items held at the UCSD Libraries Annex. This an off-site storage facility.

  • UCSD: Requests will be delivered to your pick-up location within 2 business days, excluding University holidays.  After 1 week, items not picked up will be returned to the Annex
  • Non-UCSD: Members of the general public may use ths form to request items that are held at the UCSD Annex to be brought back for use at your designated library pick-up location.

Circuit: Request books held by one of our local partner libraries to be delivered to the UCSD library of your choice. Other Circuit libraries include San Diego State University, University of San Diego, CSU San Marcos, and the San Diego County Libraries. This service is available to anyone with UCSD borrowing privileges. Most Circuit items can be sent to UCSD within 48 working hours. A library PIN is required.

Melvyl: Request items from any University of California library to be delivered to the UCSD library of your choice. Most items can be sent to UCSD within 5 business days.

  • Southern Regional Library Facility (SRLF): Use Melvyl to request items held at this non-local storage site. Do not use ROGER to request SRLF items.

WorldCat: Request via UC-eLinks books and other items held at libraries worldwide.

Citation Linker: If you have checked the online catalog, ROGER and are unable to locate an item you need, submit a request using  Citation Linker and we will try to obtain the item for you.
