"Brought home by a refugees, this picture is another example of the war on religion by the Spanish Reds -- malignant Atheists who, in their fight for an anti-Christ government have destroyed marvellous churches which once were among Spain's chief glories. This party of them -- including a woman -- are grouped round the altar of a church in Madrid, with an array of symbolic emblems of death and decay. Three of the youths are displaying firearms, one is dressing himself in clerical robes, and two others are giving the clenched-fist salute of the Communists."
