Please join us for a special poetry reading featuring Alberto Blanco and Jerome Rothenberg on Thursday, April 8, at 4:30 in the Seuss Room.
Alberto Blanco is considered one of Latin America’s leading poets. He has published 25 books of poetry, as well as art essays, translations, and several books for children. He is also active as a visual artist, known especially for his collages and artist’s books. Blanco is currently a visiting professor in UCSD’s Department of Literature.
Jerome Rothenberg is an internationally known poet, performance artist, translator, and anthologist. He has published more than 80 books of poetry as well as ten anthologies of traditional and contemporary poetry such as Technicians of the Sacred and Poems for the Millennium. He is professor emeritus from UCSD, having held a joint appointment in Visual Arts and Literature.
