The Biomedical Library will be closing at 5 pm on Friday, August 22nd so that we can have the carpets cleaned. Didn’t we just do this? Yes, but they turned out to need a more industrial-strength cleaning so we’re having a little do-over.
The Biomedical Library and Graduate Study will close at 5pm Thursday, July 3rd for carpet cleaning. The Library and Graduate Study will remain closed over the July 4th holiday, and re-open at 10am on Saturday, July 5th. This will allow the carpet to fully dry.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience.
It is that time of year when the Group Study Rooms are in high demand. Make sure your group has one available that meets your schedule by calling ahead to reserve one. Reservations are for the same day only. Call the Service Desk at 858-534-3253 or stop by the library to place your reservation.
Please remember that if you have checked out a room, those in your group cannot also place a reservation for a later time. We are trying to make sure everyone has a chance to use these rooms. The Group Study Rooms Policy page will give you some general details about the group study room policies and you can also see the picky details about Group Study Rooms Reservations.
The Biomedical Library and Graduate Study will close at 5pm Friday, January 25th to allow the carpet to be cleaned. The Library and Graduate Study will open normally at 10am Saturday, January 26th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Due to furniture installation, there will be periods of noise in the Library this week. We are working with the furniture installation crew to mitigate noise as much as possible, but some disruption will be unavoidable. We recommend users work in the far south end and northeast end of the 2nd floor. There are ear plugs available at the service desk. We hope this furniture installation project will be completed on or before Thursday. We apologize for this inconvenience.
The Library will be closed July 4th. Sorry for any inconvenience.
The Recreational Reading and New Books collections have been moved to provide more visibility. The Recreational Reading collection is now located on the first floor across from the service desk, and includes 300 contemporary fiction and non-fiction bestsellers, a dozen popular magazines, and two local newspapers. The New books are now on the East side of the staircase as you enter the library. Books in this collection circulate normally.
