Dynes, Taylor Elected to NAS Governing Council

This week Robert C. Dynes (Department of Physics and former UCSD Chancellor/UC President) and Susan S. Taylor (Dept of Chemistry & Biochemistry) were elected to the governing council of the National Academy of Sciences. They will begin their 3-year term as Councilors in July.

Larry Squire, a professor of psychiatry at UC San Diego, currently serves on the academy‚Äôs governing council, which means three of the 12 members of the governing council are now from UC San Diego, a remarkable achievement for any research institution. –from the UCSD Press Release
