Thurgood Marshall College, formerly Third College, admitted its first students in 1970. From its founding, the College was dedicated to empowering students as both scholars and citizens; including a focus on exploring complex identities, analyzing power and privilege, and working towards change. In 1993, Third College was later renamed Thurgood Marshall College, after Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall (1908-1993). - Creation Date
