The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nation is responsible for FishFinder. Formerly known as SIDP (Species Identification and Data Programme), FishFinder was created to provide and disseminate tools to facilitate species identification in fisheries, with the goal of improving fisheries data quality.
