Includes a collection of popular movie periodicals covering Mexican films from 1902 through 1960's including Cinema Reporter (1943-1965), Cine Mundial (1951-1955), El Cine Gráfico (1935) and El Mundo Ilustrado (1902-1910), an arts magazine that covered cinema, as well as Cinelandia (1931-1947), published in Hollywood both in Spanish and in English. The collection is from the Cineteca at UNAM in Mexico City.

This online resource provides cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for more than 2,100 journals, full text for more than 890 journals, and contains more than 2.47 million records. Major subject areas include literature, philosophy, the arts, history, culture, and multi-disciplinary humanities titles, with world-wide content pertaining to literary, scholarly, and creative thought.
From April 1, 2015, the UC San Diego Library has arranged for a two-year trial period of over 26,000 videos available through Kanopy. The videos come from leading producers such as the BBC, California Newsreel, Criterion Collection, First Run Features, Kino Lorber and PBS, with more content added each year. Many of the films are from independent and specialty producers, with a focus on documentary films. Use is limited to currently enrolled UCSD students, employees, and faculty, staff. Faculty may screen these films in the classroom and they may also be used across campus to non-paying audiences, such as organizations and clubs, training, and in residence life.
Includes two good resources for film study. Cinefiles - a database of world cinema press kits, film notes, newspaper articles and reviews and PFA Filmnotes - a database of 12,000 film notes from the Archive's film series from 1979 to present.
1984-present. Full text (but no images) of the Union-Tribune, and before the 1990 merger, of the separate San Diego Union and Evening Tribune. For page images, microfilm of the San Diego Union is available from 1897-1983. The Evening Tribune (1895-1940, missing 1937) is still being digitized.
