  • California Explores the Ocean - a collaborative project to digitize a selection of primary source materials from the former Scripps Institution of Oceanography Library and Archives and the San Diego Historical Society.  This website facilitated searching and discovery of archival manuscripts, texts, images, and sound recordings related to ocean research conducted at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, in addition to historical materials on ocean resources owned by the San Diego History Center. This website was originally created in 2001 and revised in 2020, without the addition of new content, use the links in the "About" section to find  more information on these topics.
