Information for Institutions

All UC San Diego Library facilities will be closed from Thursday, December 24, 2015, through Sunday, January 3, 2016, as part of the campus-wide Winter Holiday Closure. Library facilities will reopen Monday, January 4, 2016. Any requests submitted during the closure period will be processed in the order received starting Monday, January 4, 2016.

General Policy

Loans and copies are provided to other academic, public, government, and non-profit libraries according to the national and international Interlibrary Loan codes. For-profit institutions and commercial document delivery vendors are not eligible for these services.

Submitting Requests

OCLC and/or Docline is the preferred method for sending requests. If you do not have access to OCLC or Docline, complete an ALA form and send it to ill@ucsd.edu.

Fees

In general loans are $11.00 for libraries or institutions within the state of California; $20.00 for loans to libraries outside the state of California; $20.00 to $40.00 for loans outside the United States. Photocopies range from $11.00 to $20.00. Fees may vary depending on shipping method and distance. To view the current fee schedule, click here.
