Summary

Luisa Martín de la Piedad was born in 1925 in Madrid. Luisa recounts anecdotes of the Civil War and the Francoist dictatorship. She relates that her nephew, Pepe Martínez, was detained and imprisoned in the 1960s for his anti-Francoist activities. Luisa describes her experience visiting Pepe in the Dirección General de Seguridad (General Security Directorate). She tells of the packages her family sent to Pepe while he was incarcerated in the Burgos Prison. At the time of the interview, Luisa was involved in the struggle to keep her residency in "El 7 de Ventorrillo" where she has lived since 1937
