Issued by the Partido Obrero de Unification Marxista (POUM), the postcards in this section were printed in black and white. A revolutionary communist party centered in Catalonia, the POUM came into frequent conflict with the regional branch of the Spanish Communist Party, whose tactics favored a more moderate political stance. The political infighting between these two adversaries on the left posed several challenges for the Republicans. This confrontation further spurred the production of propaganda materials in and around Barcelona designed to capture the interests of public.
