FATHER JOSEPH BILTZ SPEAKS TO SUPPORTERS AT MT. ANGEL CAMPUSIn 1969, Father Joseph Biltz was a theology professor at Mt. Angel College near Portland, Oregon. He was an outspoken advocate of the United Farm Workers and the California grape boycott. As part of his advocacy he delivered a theological lecture entitled: "Dissent in the Church." Because of this lecture and his unbridled public support of the farmworkers, Archbishop Robert Dwyer of Portland silenced Father Biltz by removing him from his theology teaching post at Mt. Angel, Oregon.Feb 06, 2006
