Do you wish we offered more?  Tell us what is not working for you, and why you need to break up with the Library and end this relationship.

The Library is hosting our Love & Break Up Letters to the Library activity, available online from Monday, February 2, 2026 through Saturday, February 28, 2026. 

Using the form below, you can write your love letter or break up letter to the Library.  All submitted letters must be complete and state what you currently love or hate about the Library.  All completed letters must be submitted by Saturday, February 28, 2026 to be considered. 

Two separate raffles will take place concurrently; one for all of the love letters, and the other for all break up letters. The two winners from each raffle are eligible to win a $25 e-gift card that will be delivered to the winners via their UC San Diego email address. All participants may enter both raffles by submitting both a love letter and a break up letter.

Want to write a physical letter? Stop by Letters and Friendship Bracelets in front of Classroom Room 1 (Geisel Library, Main Floor) on February 11, 2026 between 1:00-2:30pm to write letters and make friendship bracelets.
